Forest Asset Finance was established to deliver specialist bus and coach asset finance to UK operators.

Asset finance history, the company was founded by Michael Bycroft and Darren Fitzpatrick in 2004 and quickly grew through the packaging of exceptional finance and brokering services uniquely serving the bus and coach industry in the UK.

Within a few years these services expanded into general finance solutions while still expanding the clients in the transportation sector.

In early 2016, Forest Asset Finance was acquired and became the fourth company within the expanding Asset Alliance Group, who had already acquired companies in the commercial vehicle sector where they offer tailored finance solutions for the acquisition of CV assets.

The group company was founded in 2010 by Willie Paterson, former Managing Director of Alliance & Leicester Commercial Finance PLC with investment capital from one of the UK’s leading private equity companies, Cabot Square Capital LLP.

In early 2010, Asset Alliance Group recruited a number of senior managers from within the commercial vehicle industry, who share a passion for delivering a high quality service designed to meet the individual needs of customers.

Sales and administration offices were established in Scotland, Leeds and then Wolverhampton, where the Asset Alliance Group was established following a merger with ATE Truck and Trailer Sales Ltd, the UK’s leader in used trailer and truck sales. In September 2013, the group then purchased refrigerator trailer specialist Total Reefer.

This led to Michael and Darren taking Forest into the Group in 2016 and today the Asset Alliance Group has three strategic sites in Wolverhampton, Scotland and Hampshire offering one of the broadest ranges of vehicle funding and vehicle selection. The company employs more than 80 staff with group finance in excess of £120m of assets and growing steadily.

As a high growth commercial vehicle and transport specialist, we have funded, own and rent over 3,000 assets to UK businesses.
